Nestled just off Brick Lane in the heart of Shoreditch, Oranj is a very trendy bar and has become a go-to spot for Londoners looking for a cosy, stylish place to relax with friends, celebrate a night out, or enjoy a memorable date. With its warm, inviting ambiance and unique approach to wine, Oranj is the perfect spot for wine lovers and those curious to try new flavours!
At Oranj, the clue really is in the name: if you love orange wine or are eager to try it, this is the place. The bar is known for its impressive selection of natural and orange wines. Their team really knows their stuff, offering suggestions that bring out the unique flavours of each wine. During our visit, we left our orange wine choice in the hands of the waitress, who recommended a glass with vibrant notes of passionfruit—as someone who has found orange wine bitter in the past, I really enjoyed this fresh and fruity option. Alongside their wine, Oranj also offers a selection of cocktails, including spicy margs 🌶️.
In addition to the drinks, Oranj’s food menu is always changing! With a rotating lineup of chefs and pop-up kitchens, each visit offers a different experience. During our visit, it was Noé Viviès @noevivies & Lucy Rosedale's @lucyrosedale chef and wine residency which was really incredible!
We enjoyed a delicious selection that included the Koji Risotto with Crab (incredibly flavoursome and rich), Corn Tempura, and Whole Seabass. For two people, sharing three to four dishes makes for a perfect, light meal, designed to let you savour the flavours without leaving too full!
Oranj’s commitment to quality, unique flavors, and inviting atmosphere make it a spot worth visiting, and with the variety of wines and dishes available, you’ll find yourself wanting to come back for more. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or simply looking for a fresh, memorable night out, Oranj in Shoreditch is well worth the visit!!
