If you're a fan of sharing seasonal small plates with friends, Jolene is the perfect neighbourhood spot to visit. This cafe-turn-restaurant is set in a beautifully open space with large windows overlooking a green. You get a lot of of natural light flood in which warms up a very minimalist, earthy and chic restaurant. It’s easy to see why they’ve earned a spot in the Michelin Guide—this place truly knows how to deliver a memorable dining experience.
When my friends and I visited back in June, it felt like a delicious taste of summer. The light dishes were full of zesty, fresh flavours, capturing the essence of the season.
For me, the standout moments were the freshly baked bread (always a winner), a perfectly lemony sauce paired with delicate fish, and a rhubarb tart that brought the meal to a sweet close. Though I didn’t snap a picture of the menu (and trust me, I should have—so many delicious options!), I’m already looking forward to returning this autumn to see what seasonal delights they bring out next.
